Fossil is one of the few clockmakers still making smartwatches from the Wear OS and the smartwatch Gen 5 has now been introduced. This fresh model has twice the space on-board of the prior model, an integrated speaker and a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform. The Fossil Gen 5 is now accessible in US, EMEA areas for pre-order and will be accessible on sale on the 26th of August. Fossil merely says that the Gen 5 “will quickly” arrive in areas of the APAC. The price of fossil gene 5 is 295 dollars (approximately 20,320 rs.). There’s no word right now about a particular date for release in united kingdom.
Fossil Gen 5 specifications features Google smartwatch’s Fossil Gen 5 Wear OS available in a size of 44 mm and has a circular, 12 mm case thick design. Depending on the model you choose, you can choose from distinct finishes and watch straps. Compared with Gen 4, some fresh additions include an integrated speaker inside the watch, which lets you hear incoming warnings and even answer calls direct from the watch. The Gen 5 also includes custom-designed battery modes, which guarantee up to 36hours of battery life and up to one week in clock mode.
There are also 8 GB internal storage for more music instead of 4 GB, whereas the RAM is currently 1 GB.
Similar to the sport of fossil fuel, the Gen 5 contains a crown and two push buttons that can be adapted to start any application. It works on Google’s Wear OS and includes the present Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform from Qualcomm. Amplificatory, altimeter, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, heart rate, NFC and GPS are part of the sensors. The clock is also up to 30 meters swim-proof.
The new model has been intended to provide iPhone users with better functionality, and many of these modifications are based on customer feedback. “We are thrilled that our first ever proprietary applications that deliver longer battery life and enhanced iPhone compatibility will be a direct consequence of customer feedback, and always be up-to-date with customers worldwide,” said Steve Evans, EVP, Fossil Group.
