INTRODUCTION

The underground cabling system is a common practice in many institution areas. DIT Main campus. There are many electrical, telephone and other signal cables underground.

Open circuit /short circuit faults occur to construction works, extension, new buildings and other reasons.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

underground cable faults on direct hidden primary cable. Where the cable is situate and what direction it takes and eradicate the losses of power in underground cable.

The operation of existing system is manual

ADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM

It is less expensive for maintenance

Eco friendly and low maintenance

Involving more security that over head line in bad weather

DISADVANTAGE OF EXISTING SYSTEM

More assumption to finding a fault cable

ADVANTAGE OF PROPOSED SYSTEM

Small voltage drop

Less chance of fault

Low maintenance cost

Better general appearance

DISADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM

Greater installation cost and introduce insulation problems at high voltage compared with equivalent overhead system

CONCLUSION

The design it working properly for detection of underground cable fault for open circuit at DIT main campus premises.

RECOMMENDATION

in order to detect the fault of underground cable for open circuit. Which help people to generate their lives also this project obstacles to the areas where concrete presences
