DESIGN OF AN ELECTRICAL MONITORING SYSTEM FOR PRAYERS SESSIONS

St. Kizito Mafinga Seminary chapel currently uses a manual operated method. To inform the priests, sisters, seminarians, and lay believers gathered for the prayers by knocking the sitting bench.

The project aims at designing an electrical alerting system which will alert the multitude attending the prayers to observe well praying sessions on specified time.

MAIN OBJECTIVES.
The main objective is to alert the multitude, attending the prayers to observe the prayers, sessions on the specified time.

EXISTING SYSTEM.

In the existing system the timekeeper is the one who knocks the sitting bench to inform the prayers sessions.

DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM.

The sound from a knock of a sitting bench may not be heard by all people attending the prayers.

The timekeeper may forget to knock the sitting bench.

PROPOSED SYSTEM.

Time in proposed system is by a timer. The buzzer and a lamp indicates different prayers sessions.

ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM.

People will be able to observe well the prayers
sessions.

The sound of the buzzer heard by all people attending the prayers.

DATA ANALYSIS.85db = (10log10(I/10-12)) db.

85 = (10log10(I/10-12)).

85 = 10log I + 120.

-35 = 10log

From, I = P/A

But A = 4πr

Take r = (length of the chapel /2)

r = 20m/

r = 10m.

A = (22/7×4×102) m2

A = 1257.14 m2.

From P = I.A

P = 10-2 W/m2 × 1257.14m2.

= (10-2×1257.14) W

P = 12.5714 W.

Voltage = 220 – 240VAC

Power = 12.5714 W

The voltage is 230V . so, the current is

I= P/V

=12.5714 W/240V 

I=0.05A
